Aloha!

The past year has been extremely challenging for all of us, yet we’ve found ways to regroup and carry on. We discovered that, working together, we could persevere and accomplish great things. Thanks to the dedication of our Board of Directors and the support of our members, AAF Hawaii remains strong.

As we start a new fiscal year (July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022) — my final year as club President — feel free to reach out to me or any member of our executive team: Ryan Kawamoto (Vice President), Kristina Rau (Board Secretary), and Keith DeMello (Treasurer). I am happy to say most of our board members have returned for another year; plus, we’ve added four new board members: Jody Shiroma (PBS Hawaii), James Sereno (Kinetic Productions), Jenny Greene (Cake Media Maui), and Yongchae Song (Pacific Media Group).

At the top of our key goals this year is to retain and grow our membership base. I’m really excited about all the programs, workshops, and events our team is developing. I'm proud to say we have a great deal in store brimming with value for our members.

We also encourage you to consider applying for this fall’s professional scholarship, applicable toward professional development activities, as well as to help us spread the word about this spring’s Shining Star Scholarship to any outstanding college students you may know.
